I think they like Win 95/98 or NT or Mac 8.6 and above due to Open Transport problems, but we are a mostly Mac shop and have used system 7.5.3 through 8.1 with fine results.
Special Limitations:
If you get the basic home account, they won't host a domain name or let you get static IP's. You must opt for a "business package, which costs more......Also, unlimited user packages must pay for different "routed" speeds (see below).
Comments:
For LAN's with 5 or more computers, Sunflower offers "routed" services. Since our small business just got a 5th computer, we had to switch to a routed connection. SO, now we see our max. throughput LIMITED! If we want the speed we used to have, we have to pay extra for it. as an example, I used to max out ftp downloads at about 1Mbs.I seem to remember downloading a complete Netscape install in about 1.5 minutes! Now we are stuck at 128kbs, only twice as fast as a 56k modem. That stinks!
